The EquityTool

The EquityTool is a simple and easy-to-use tool to measure relative wealth. Using a short survey, the EquityTool allows users to compare the wealth of the respondents to the national or urban population in over 50 countries. The EquityTool is created by reducing the DHS Wealth Index (or similar index in a nationally representative dataset) to the fewest number of variables needed to reach a minimally acceptable level of agreement with the full wealth index.
