JMP Module: Monitoring WASH and related infection protection and control (IPC) in delivery rooms

This document identifies a draft set of indicators and questions for monitoring water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and related infection prevention and control (IPC) measures in the delivery room (i.e. the room where delivery is intended to take place). These indicators build upon existing Joint Monitoring Programme (JMP) indicators for monitoring WASH in health care facilities (general service areas)1 and WHO’s Essential Environmental Health Standards in Health Care.
